Dermaplaning

What Dermaplaning is.

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive manual exfoliation technique that removes the top surface layer of dead skin, vellus hair (peach fuss)and any other debris using a sterile surgical scalpel revealing the newer skin underneath.

How it works.

So it works by removing the top layer of dead skin cells unveiling fresher, smoother, more youthful skin. Doing this regularly can improve the appearance of scarring, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone and is great preparation for chemical peels. On top of all of this it also allows the topical products being used in your home care routine to absorb more effectively giving you better results all round.

Is it the right treatment for you?

Dermaplaning can be carried out of a wide range of skin types. If your concerns are any of the above conditions you are probably a fantastic candidate for the treatment. It is safe during pregnancy and for those who suffer with sensitive skin and conditions like rosacea. The only skin type unfortunately that isn’t suitable is those suffering with active pustular acne.

How often should the treatment be done?

Ideally every 4-6 weeks.
