Chemical peels are used to remove the outer layers of the epidermis to restore and reveal healthy new skin. depending on the concern and the product used will determine how deep the peel will go.Superficial peels will only remove the outer layers of the epidermis.Medium depth peels will remove both the epidermal layers and the upper dermal layers.Deep peels extend deeper into the lower dermal layer of the skin to remove lines and wrinkles blemishes and scaring.Once the skin has peeled after your chemical peeling treatment your skin will regrow with a thicker epidermis than before creating the skin to appear smoother, brighter and with less imperfections than before.Chemical peels can be used to treat a number of different skin concerns from aging skin to acne or pigmentation problems.Depending on the type of peel used will determine the recovery time from a few days to a few weeks.Repeat treatments will be performed from 2-6 weeks post treatment for a superficial peel and 4-6 weeks for a deeper peel.

Homecare

Pre treatment
Care will be advised on consultation. Depending on your concerns we will recommend a homecare package to prepare your skin for 2-4 weeks prior to your treatment so you can get the most beneficial results. A patch test will always be done prior to treatment.

Post treatment
A care plan will be designed specifically for you and your needs.do not pick or pull any peeling skin allow it to sloth off naturally. No sunbathing No sun beds and No tanning products should be used or applied. A high SPF should be used on a daily basis For best results it is important to follow the home care regime that will be set up for you by your aesthetic practitioner to suit your individual needs and concerns.
