Treatment and procedure

Micro dermabrasion is a non chemical, non invasive procedure used to remove the outer layer of skin cells to treat a number of different skin concerns from dull tired skin to pigmentation and acne scarring. By removing those dead cells from the surface of the skin it promotes the growth and reveals healthy new skin cells it stimulates collagen production so your skin will have a smooth texture and youthful glow.Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed and checked over before the treatment will take place. The rotating diamond wand will be used all over the affected area to be treated causing an exfoliating effect removing the outer most layers of dead skin and being removed by the suction effect. The skin will then be calmed and treated with products specifically chosen for your skin concerns. SPF will always be applied after the treatment.

Homecare

Pre treatment
A range of homecare products may be advised prior to your treatment.

Post treatment
Your skin may be slightly tight and pink after treatment this should calm down after a couple of hours.Some dryness and slight peeling may occur over the next few days:

Avoid direct exposure or tanning and a high factor physical sun scream must be applied daily.
Avoid makeup for 24 hours avoid exfoliation products for 48 hours.
Avoid saunas and heat treatment for 7-14 days.
For best results it is important to follow the home care regime that will be set up for you by your aesthetic practitioner to suit your individual needs and concerns.
A high SPF must be used daily after this treatment.
